Liesl McPherrin is a soprano from Yuba City, California. She graduated in 2011 from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. She currently lives in Princeton, NJ where she is a graduate student in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College. She studies with Nova Thomas.
    In the San FranciscoBay Area, Liesl sang with the San Francisco State Chamber Singers, University Chorus and Afro-Cuban Ensemble, as well as chorus for San Francisco Lyric Opera, Urban Opera, and California Symphony. In April, 2011, she placed first in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Bay Area Chapter festival for Art Songs.
    After graduating, Liesl taught Vocal Techniques and acted as vocal coach and accompanist for She Loves Me at Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts. In the Yuba-Sutter area, she sang with Borgamaria Lyric Opera, Sutter Performing Arts Association, and the Yuba-Sutter Oratorio Society.
    Most recently, Liesl sang the role of Tytania in Midsummer Night's Dream with Westminster Opera Theater. This April, she sang the role of Antonia in Tales of Hoffmann. F
